I am pretty noobish at this but I manage for the most part. I have a username and password protected page but I need to be able to protect more than just the page. I need to protect the content on my page as well so it shares the same login authentication as the initial login page. I tried this with .htaccess and was successful with it but the password prompt is unprofessional as I need an HTML form login. I figured I could set a form to fill in the gaps and generate the username:password@ in to the address but that method seems so primative.

Anybody have any recommendations for me?
