What is wrong with this? I seem to be doing everything I'm told but I'm not getting a password box/page.
can anyone help?

Then again, don't! Just thought about that a sec and since this is a page you want password protected...lol...would be rather silly to post a link to it while it's still unprotected.  Undecided

Is this a php file? If the file has a .html/.htm ending, the php section will not be parsed on the server. Are you getting any kind of errors or is the php include section being displayed as plain text on the page?

Edit: I take it you did get php enabled by your Host after all?
