Hi
Thanks, This thumbnail script look just what I am looking for my my themed Zeus link directory. I noticed the post about deletting the "http://" on this page.
http://www.amray.com/cgi/amray/dirs.cgi?lv=2&ct=Computers_,038_Internet-Software_,038_Programming
This helps me automate it into my data base.

Before I get a virtual dedicated windows server to make this all work I have one question.
I want all of the thumbnails to look a standard size with out distortion like on the http://www.amray.com website.
It looks like the IECapt program saves a shot of the whole webpage not just the screen shot (say 800x600) Some pages are pretty long and would look wierd (distorted) as a small thumbnail. Is there a control that can cropped crop the image just to what would display on a computer screen kind of like what shows on the amray.com site?

Thanks for a great script
Grant

You are correct, IECapt captures whole page. Website thumbnail generator has following settings to control cropping:

// If not equal 0 then cut original image size before resizing (in pixels).
// Long page will have bad thumbnail, its better to cut page length first.
$cut_x = 0;
$cut_y = 1024;

So you can update script to use only first NNN pixels for width (cut_x) and height (cut_y).

Before ordering dedicated server I would suggest checking first if IECapt runs well on that server. Just to be sure it works before spending money.

Thanks a bunch,

This sounds like it will work and is just what I was looking for. I will check on the running IEcap on the server.
