You can simply download any app from google for cleaning up junk files. In some phones, inbuilt apps are present for junk cleaning. Cleaning the junk may free some usable memory storage.

Some android phones are inbuilt with a feature to clean up junk files. However, some are not. But you can download a junk cleaner application from the play store and install in your phone.

First you may download trusted app from the store that can clear junks. but be sure to read more on how to use the app correctly and to avoid spam.

Regarding slow phone, maybe you run lots of things at the same time, or you have adware on your device. Also some good apps may show clickable link to adware  app like (wholesale clothing, car, flowers, roses, software....ets) make sure to click only on trusted page.

Thanks

On your Android device, open Files by Google.
Tap the Clean tab in the bottom left.
On the "Junk Files" card, tap Confirm and free up.
Tap See junk files.
Select Log files or a temporary app file you want to clear.
Tap Clear.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
