Title: IE 7 Claims User/Pass can Copy Clipboard!!!
Post by: eamnq on February 21, 2007, 07:33:57 PM
Please see:

http://www.gliq.info/vtmfnyny/ne41184.php.txt

The code works great on everything but the new IE7.

An announcement window opens and claims that this software is able to copy the user's clipboard and asks the user permission to open the page.

If this is code cannot copy the clipboard, I think a legal complaint against Microsoft may be warranted.

That is really strange. MSDN (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb250473.aspx) says IE7 would only issue such warning when script is working with clipboard.

Maybe the redirect to http://www.gliq.info/vtmfnyny/nkr.php is taking place, and IE7 is warning about that page? That page is encrypted, and may look suspicious to IE.

Unfortunately I do not have IE7 (using Firefox), and could not look at it in more details.
