password_protect.php Script

I like the password_protect.php script, but how would U suggest protecting the actual script itself? The password_protect.php will hold the username and password and needs to be protected itself.

There would need to be a way to make this script private otherwise it is just as vulnerable as the other scripts. I'm not sure if there is a way to do this. I'll take a look around your site. Still I could use a point in the right direction. Thanks for your help.
