Great script! However, I have protected a page that I have created as a "Guestbook" page. In other words, the initial Guestbook page is password protected. That page has a link on it to Sign the Guestbook. Here's my issue. When I click on the link on the protected page I am asked for my user id / password again. How can I limit the password protection to only the initial page?

Thanks!

Well, I'm afraid not. I have verified that the protection code is the very first line in my php file (http://www.searcyvalleybaptist.com/vbc/prayerroom/index.php), with not spaces, tabs, etc.

'Cookies' appears to be enabled, as I am storing other Cookies.

Below is what the first several lines of my password protected pages looks like.
<?php include("/home3/searcyvb/searcyvalleybaptist-www/vbc/password_protect.php"); ?>

Strange. It cannot set cookie for some reson Sad
I downloaded that guestbook, protected it with the same login/password, and it works ok (requires password only once).

Could you pack and send me your customized guestbook for testing?

Something was inserting special characters (hex codes EF BB BF) before the protection string (maybe editor). Protector could not set verification cookie because of those special characters. Make sure you no characters added before the protection string, otherwise you'll get "headers already sent" error message.
