Author Topic: Permissions for uploads - chmod()?  (Read 4460 times)

I am trying the upload script. It seems to work, except I have no permission to delete the files from the server after upload. The host support folks tell  me I need "... to add a simple PHP chmod() function into the script to automatically have it change the permissions of uploaded to files to something like 666 or 777.  This way they can still be owned as nobody, but your user can edit them." I can't figure out for the life of me where this would go in your upload script. I know it's a free script but any chance to point me in the right direction where this chmod() would go?

It is frustrating to not being able to delete files from the server and just eating up space.
